IL LIBRO
La leggenda di Robin Hood \u00e8 stata riscritta ed esaltata da cantastorie, romanzieri, cineasti. Se mai pu\u00f2 esistere una versione verosimile \u00e8 per\u00f2 impastata di fango, sangue e sogni; s\u2019intreccia con la missione di un re partito per la Crociata e le trame di suo fratello il traditore, con la ribellione dei nobili e quella di chi cerca di sfuggire a una sorte miserabile.<\/div>\n
Wu Ming 4 immagina l\u2019origine della leggenda pi\u00f9 famosa del Medioevo e la pone al cuore del conflitto che rappresenta. Da una parte la citt\u00e0, il palazzo, l\u2019autorit\u00e0 costituita; dall\u2019altra la foresta, le credenze popolari, la natura vivente. I destini di un cavaliere scaltro, capace di muoversi nei meandri del potere, si incrociano con quelli dei banditi incappucciati: poco pi\u00f9 che bambini, uniti in una piccola comunit\u00e0 di sopravvissuti che traggono dai misteri della foresta di Sherwood il loro sostentamento e le loro fantasie.<\/div>\n
Ci sono troll, fate e folletti. C\u2019\u00e8 un cervo candido dalle corna d\u2019argento che incarna lo spirito della foresta. E quando il mondo del cavaliere e quello dei giovani reietti s\u2019incontrano pu\u00f2 nascerne solo qualcosa di grande e terribile.<\/div>\n
Dopo l\u2019avventura di crescita del Piccolo regno Wu Ming 4 torna a visitare le terre che ama, quelle dove Storia e leggenda si uniscono in un luogo oscuro e incantato. Un luogo dove \u201cnon ci sono leggi, ma storie\u201d.

L’AUTORE
Wu Ming 4 \u00e8 membro del collettivo di narratori Wu Ming, gi\u00e0 autori del romanzo Q (Einaudi, 1999) con lo pseudonimo di Luther Blissett. Oltre alle opere narrative a pi\u00f9 mani, Wu Ming ha al suo attivo racconti di viaggio, reportage e saggi sulla letteratura. Ogni membro ha adottato un nome d\u2019arte composto da quello del collettivo pi\u00f9 un numerale. Wu Ming 4 \u00e8 autore dei romanzi Stella del Mattino (Einaudi, 2008) e Il piccolo regno (Bompiani, 2016). Per Bompiani ha pubblicato inoltre i saggi letterari L\u2019eroe imperfetto (2022) e Difendere la Terra di Mezzo (2023).<\/div>\n
